Molchanovs Freediving Wave 1 is an introductory freediving course. Freediving is the sport of holding one’s breath underwater without the use of special equipment, and relaxation and breathing techniques are extremely important.
Wave 1” is a course designed to teach the basic skills and knowledge needed to begin freediving. Specifically, it includes the following
Safe diving practices: You will learn how to hold your breath and when to come up for air in order to stay safe underwater. You will also learn how to cooperate with your fellow divers and escape techniques.
Relaxation and Breathing: In freediving, it is important to relax and breathe deeply; the Molchanovs method places particular emphasis on how to relax and regulate your breathing.
Diving Techniques: In Wave 1, you will learn to dive at shallow depths and gradually hold your breath to see how long you can dive. You will also begin with short dives at first.
Theory and Preparation: You will also learn freediving theory (breath control and understanding pressure), mental attitude, and mental preparation.
This course is designed for those who have no prior freediving experience at all, and provides a solid grounding in basic safety measures and techniques. You will learn your limits underwater without strain and improve your skills while having fun.
